Leisurely Bicycle Tours will be operating from
two locations:

Pawtucket, from the Blackstone Valley Visitor, 175 Main Street,

Lincoln, from the Blackstone River State Park Visitor Center, located off Interstate 295 north.

A special tour on May 31 as part of the "Bike on the Blackstone Blues" event will depart from Woonsocket.

Leisurely Bike Tours

Take a Peek Behind the Scenes of the Blackstone River Valley

The Blackstone Valley Tourism Council announces its 2014 schedule of  Leisurely Bicycle Tours showcasing Rhode Island’s Blackstone River Valley.

Biking in the Blackstone River Valley is more than recreation – Join us and learn about Rhode Island's historic Blackstone River Valley. Participants enjoy a fun and relaxing way to experience culture, nature, history and recreation on the Blackstone Valley Leisurely Bicycle Tours.

Tours last 4 hours, are ridden at a very leisurely pace, stop often and are appropriate for all fitness levels.

We pedal through the Blackstone Valley enjoying the little known facts and stories while riding through charming back streets and the Blackstone River Valley Bikepath.

Space is limited to keep groups small, however, reservations are encourage in advance but they are not necessary.

June to October Leisurely Bike Tours

Our tours begin at the Blackstone Valley Visitor Center in Pawtucket. Then we cycle to the top of Narragansett Bay along the Pawtucket River and then on to the Blackstone River. Features along the way include: Slater Mill Historic Site, The Blackstone River • The Blackstone Canal • Rhody Rug Factory• The Colonial Bakery • Kelly House Museum • Blackstone Bikeway • Central Falls Provisions Company • Pierce Park • The Chocolate Mill Overlook • Cherry Tree Lane • RI’s Cultural Mile • The oldest Brick Mill in America • Blackstone River State Park Welcome Center in Lincoln.

Also new this year to celebrate their 90th anniversary, Central Falls Provision Company offers each of our cyclists departing from the Visitor Center, when we stop by their shop on the tour, an $8 package of handmade Polish products to take home and enjoy a bit of their history.

May, July and September Tours

We begin this tour at the Blackstone River State Park Welcome Center in Lincoln. We cycle to the Kelly House Museum • Travel along the historic Blackstone Canal and Blackstone River • Pedal to one of the highest points on the Blackstone River in Woonsocket • Tour Main Street where Abraham Lincoln spoke • visit Market Square • Tour the Museum of Work and Culture • Return to the Welcome Center at the Blackstone River Park State Park in Lincoln.

All Lincoln departures will receive admission to the Museum of Work & Culture.
